4 stars only because I save 5 stars for something truly, outlandishly out of this world. There was nothing amiss in our experience.

Great place for a quiet meal. Love the oversized space. It provides a sense of dining alone.

A week or so ago we had plans to dine at TOT only to have one of our party send out a text. He had heard (from his barber/hair stylist) that TOT had slipped so badly that he wouldn't go there anymore. The friend promptly cancelled our reservations and made them for another restaurant.

Being the curious types, my wife and I decided to see for ourselves since we do like the restaurant space and the food. Our experience was TOT just the way we had always thought of it. Pleasant service from the staff brought us good food from the kitchen. I wanted a little something for dessert and asked about desserts. Our waiter told us what was on the list, but suggested we have the 'house dessert' which was included in our meal instead.

We did. It was small, just the right size. Seemed to be black rice and a sweet sauce. Perfect end to our very pleasant and inexpensive meal.

We are definitely headed back.

DO NOT GO HERE unless you plan on spending an hour waiting for mediocre food. Painstakingly slow service and a horrible atmosphere. We ordered two appetizers and they got those confused, how does a restaurant mess up TWO APPS?? After an hour of waiting, all the tables around us were getting their food and when we inquired they looked at us perplexed. We gave up and asked for the bill, which also took long to get,?and we paid for our appetizers and left. This is third try we give this place. Never again.
